Amar Ujala - The Bonus

Podcast

I was recently featured on Amar Ujala – The Bonus Podcast, where I shared my journey of ambition, discipline, and reinvention.

From setting multiple world records at a young age to choosing Science (Maths) as my academic foundation, my path has been anything but ordinary. I spoke about my transition into the world of finance — successfully completing Chartered Accountancy and advancing into Actuarial Science — driven by resilience, clarity of vision, and a commitment to long-term growth.

In this podcast, I highlight the power of consistency, the strength of discipline over temporary motivation, and the importance of maintaining a positive mindset through setbacks and struggles. Every challenge became a stepping stone toward becoming stronger and more focused.

My journey stands on one belief: your starting point does not define your destination — your mindset does.

in Records Breaking

Honorary Doctorate

Watch Now

I was honored with an Honorary Doctorate in Records Breaking from World Records University for successfully performing two challenging activities simultaneously — reciting mathematical tables from 1 to 100 while hula hooping — completed within 10 minutes and 41 seconds.

This record was maintained to depict the balance between physical health and mental health. It was not just about multitasking, but about demonstrating how cognitive strength and physical endurance can work together in harmony.

Balancing numerical precision with physical coordination required intense preparation, deep focus, consistency, and discipline. The achievement stands as a reflection of my belief that true excellence comes from strengthening both the mind and the body.

This milestone represents more than recognition — it symbolizes resilience, balance, and the power of pushing beyond perceived limits.

India Book of Records

The record has been officially published in the India Book of Records – 2023 Edition, recognized as the largest ever book published in the field of records.

This recognition highlights a unique accomplishment — performing two demanding activities simultaneously: reciting multiplication tables from 1 to 100 while hula hooping, completed in 10 minutes and 41 seconds. The record was maintained to represent the powerful balance between mental sharpness and physical fitness.

Being included in the 2023 edition is more than a publication credit; it is a national acknowledgment of focus, endurance, structured preparation, and the courage to attempt something unconventional.

This milestone reflects my commitment to pushing boundaries, embracing challenges, and proving that when the mind and body align with purpose, extraordinary results follow.

Research Foundation

Global Records &

This record was officially recognized by the Global Records & Research Foundation (GRRF) under the National Records category for successfully reciting multiplication tables from 1 to 100 while simultaneously performing hula hooping, completed in 10 minutes and 41 seconds. The record was achieved on 21st December, 2021.

The idea to attempt this record was born during the COVID-19 period — a time when many people were silently struggling with stress, anxiety, and mental health challenges. Observing the growing need for awareness, this initiative was taken to convey a simple yet powerful message: maintaining a balance between physical health and mental health is essential for overall well-being.

This record was not just about performance, but about purpose. It symbolized how strengthening the mind and body together can build resilience, focus, and emotional stability — especially during uncertain times.

More than a certificate, this milestone represents awareness, responsibility, and the belief that true health is achieved when mental clarity and physical fitness move forward in harmony.

Hair Donation for a Cause

Supporting Strength Beyond Illness

In 2023, I donated my hair to Madat Charitable Trust, contributing to their meaningful initiative, Cope with Cancer, which provides free wigs to cancer patients undergoing treatment.

This was not a spontaneous decision — it was a commitment nurtured over five years. I consciously grew my hair with the sole purpose of supporting individuals battling cancer, hoping to bring even a small sense of comfort, confidence, and dignity during one of the most challenging phases of their lives.

Hair loss can deeply impact self-esteem, especially for those already fighting a life-threatening illness. Through this donation, I wanted to extend a message of empathy, solidarity, and strength.

This initiative reflects a belief that real impact is created not just through achievements, but through compassion. Sometimes, the simplest acts of giving can restore not just appearance, but hope.

A Journey of Resilience

Chartered Accountant

Qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in November 2020 was not just an academic milestone — it was a transformational journey.

Coming from a Science (Mathematics) background, stepping into the world of finance, taxation, audit, and law meant starting from scratch. It required unlearning, relearning, and rebuilding confidence in an entirely new domain. The transition was challenging and demanded relentless discipline, adaptability, and self-belief.

For the first time in my life, I experienced failure while pursuing CA Inter. It was unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and humbling. However, that phase became one of the most defining chapters of my journey. Instead of allowing setbacks to define me, I chose to let them strengthen me.

The CA journey tested patience, mental endurance, consistency, and emotional resilience. There were long nights of preparation, moments of self-doubt, and sacrifices that often went unseen — but the vision remained stronger than the obstacles.

Becoming a Qualified CA in November 2020 stands as proof that your academic background does not limit your future, and failure is not the opposite of success — it is part of it. With persistence, focus, and an unwavering mindset, even the toughest journeys can lead to meaningful achievements.

This accomplishment represents more than a professional title — it reflects growth, courage, and the power of rising stronger after every fall.

Limca Book of Records

2020-22 Edition

On 17th October 2017, I earned national recognition by setting an Indian record in mental arithmetic, officially acknowledged by the Limca Book of Records. This achievement marked a key milestone in my journey, reflecting years of focused practice, numerical intuition, and the ability to perform complex calculations entirely in the mind.

The record challenge involved adding five rows of 25-digit numbers and doubling the resulting sum ten consecutive times, all completed mentally within 2 minutes and 40 seconds. The task demanded exceptional speed, accuracy, and sustained concentration, where even a minor error could invalidate the attempt.

Beyond the record itself, this experience strengthened my confidence in working under pressure and reinforced my analytical approach to problem-solving. It continues to influence how I approach complex challenges—calmly, precisely, and with a commitment to excellence.

International CA Students Conference -

Extraordinary

Performance Award

In 2015, I participated in CA’s Got Talent at the International CA Students Conference, a prestigious event organized under the banner of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). I showcased an advanced mental mathematics performance by reciting random multiplication tables up to 10,000, demonstrating speed, accuracy, and exceptional numerical memory.

The performance received an overwhelming response from the audience, culminating in a standing ovation and recognition with the Extraordinary Performance Award. The moment was a powerful affirmation of years of dedicated practice and my ability to perform complex cognitive tasks live, under pressure, and on an international मंच.

I was honored to receive the award from Manoj Fadnis, then President of ICAI. This milestone remains a proud highlight of my journey, reinforcing my confidence, stage presence, and commitment to excellence in both analytical and performance-driven environments.

2015 Edition

Limca Book of Records

On 28th June 2014, I achieved my first world record in mental arithmetic, officially recognized by the Limca Book of Records. The record involved accurately solving five sums consisting of 15 rows of 15-digit numbers, all completed within 4 minutes and 52.50 seconds. The performance was formally monitored and validated, marking a defining early milestone in my journey of numerical excellence.

What makes this achievement especially meaningful is the timing. I accomplished this record immediately after completing my 11th grade and during the summer break at the start of 12th grade—a crucial academic year leading into board examinations. Preparing for the record demanded intense, disciplined practice and a conscious decision to dedicate time and focus during a period already filled with academic responsibility.

Taking this risk required confidence, resilience, and unwavering commitment. With the full support of my family, I balanced rigorous training alongside academics, learning early on the value of perseverance and focus. This first record laid the foundation for my future achievements and shaped my mindset toward embracing ambitious goals, even during critical phases of life.
